Husband of Meteorologist Jessica Starr claimed that his wife didn’t suffer from depression or take any antidepressants before undergoing eye surgery. Jessica committed suicide late last year without the side effects of any medicine and depression, the husband said.
“Prior to the procedure, Jessica was completely normal, very healthy. There was no depression, there were no antidepressants, there was no underlying issue,” her husband Dan Rose recently told the leading news channel Fox 2 Detroit where she used to work. “I want to make that absolutely clear. Jessica was incredibly normal – there wasn’t a long battle with depression.”
Fox 2 Detroit announced the death of Meteorologist Jessica Starr in December, where she had been working since 2012. She’d recently been off the air while recovering from Lasik surgery, according to reports.
Local sources say that Jessica, who was the mother of two felt off following the surgery and tried to address it with several doctors. Rose, following one of her appointments with doctors, asked her about what was going on and how was she.
“She looked at me, and she said ‘Dan, it’s like my eyes and my brain aren’t communicating like they used to,’” he told Fox 2 of their conversation. “’I can’t process like I used to. I’m not visualizing things like I used to.’”
After Jessica committed suicide, Rose found several recordings and suicide note from her wife. The letters and the recording helped him to realize that what she’d been going through at the time.
Rose told Fox 2 Detroit that he is looking after the kids both of whom are under age 6. “She was here one day, and she was gone the next,” he told the channel.
