We are all fans of the brilliant Sherlock Holmes; whether in his old victorian setting or his modern avatar in the BBC Sherlock series. So no one was surprised at the introduction of Sherlock Holmes extended universe with Enola Holmes on Netflix. The film premiered a few days ago on 23rd September 2020. It has a star-studded cast and shows a feminist take on the mostly male-dominated long-told story of Sherlock Holmes. Enola Holmes set in 1800s England and has a powerful message about gender roles and position of women in society. The film has garnered a considerable fan base only in a couple of days. The film’s success is evident by the fact that two days after its premiere, filmmakers have confirmed the news of a sequel. So today we will discuss all we know about Enola Holmes sequel, its plot cast and storyline.

Enola Holmes just premiered on Netflix this Wednesday, i.e. 23rd September 2020. The Streaming platform cryptically revealed this date. During the teaser trailer released back in August, an anagram appeared reading “Alone Loshme Reeebtpms Wnettyrhitd”. When Solved, the riddle says “Enola Holmes 23rd September”. We hope Netflix shows the same creativity with the sequel of Enola Holmes. While we know there is going to be a Sequel, we will probably have to wait a long time for its release. At the earliest, we’ll have to wait until 2022 as Netflix originals are usually 18-24 months apart. It might get delayed due to COVID, but we hope that will not be the case.

Enola Holmes has a Star-Studded Cast and an excellent lead actress in the form of Millie Bobby Brown. The young actress got famous after her outstanding role in Stranger Things as Eleven. The Show also Boasts two Hollywood stars in Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes. The sequel is going to have the same cast, and we might see more of Superman himself a.k.a Henry Cavill.

We don’t know the plot of the next film, but since we know the movie’s story draws from a book series, so new developments are a possibility. We also speculate an original storyline based on the ending of the first movie. The story of the first film ends with Enola dodging her brothers once again to continue her Adventures in London. We see that Sherlock Holmes played by Henry Cavill, says that he wants to take Enola as his ward. This tease hints to a possible story where the holmes family bands together to solve mysteries and return of the most famous villain of the series, Moriarty.

The movie is a fun, fast-paced, Action thriller which is based in 1800s London as Enola’s mother disappeared her brothers Sherlock and Mycroft returns to put Enola in a finishing school so she can become a proper young lady. But she being a Sherlock herself find clues hidden by their mother and goes to London to find her. On her journey, she finds a runaway lord and saves his life. This friendship pays off in the climax of the movie as this lord helps her in getting back the mother of Sherlock family back.
