Christopher Plummer, actor of ‘The Sound of Music’ fame, dies at 91

Christopher Plummer, whose various film, tv and theater acting job spanned seven many years , died Friday.

He was 91.

Plummer died at his residence in Connecticut with his spouse of 50 decades, Elaine Taylor, by his facet.

“Chris was an incredible guy who deeply loved and highly regarded his career with great previous style manners, self deprecating humor and the audio of phrases. He was a Countrywide Treasure who deeply relished his Canadian roots. As a result of his art and humanity, he touched all of our hearts and his famous daily life will endure for all generations to come,” Lou Pitt, his longtime good friend and supervisor of 46 decades, said in a statement.

Plummer was identified for his roles as Captain Georg von Trapp opposite Julie Andrews in “The Audio of New music” and, more not too long ago, as Harlan Thrombey in “Knives Out.”

His function attained him an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Golden World Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
