The spread of cocaine use surged in the 1980s and early ’90s, and ‘Snowfall’ is back with another season to follow the journey behind the crack epidemic. This crime drama promises to take a dark turn as we slowly move towards the mid-80s. Each character, from Franklin to Teddy, will face deeper challenges as the series progresses.
The new season will be darker than the previous ones. The political landscape of America will be changing. There is a gang war on the horizon. Meanwhile, the effects of the drugs on the people and in the city will come up in the front and the characters will have to face the result of what they had taken part in and what they have done.
Release Date: Snowfall Season 4
The fourth season of ‘Snowfall’ is speculated to drop on 24th February 2021. The first episode is called, ‘Re-Entry’. The show was due to release in 2020, but the COVID pandemic pushed that further back. Each season of Snowfall has had ten episodes, and the same is said to be expected for season 4. You can watch the show on FX, Hotstar in India and BBC iPlayer in the UK. It is also available on Hulu.
The main case will be back for the fourth season as well. Damson Idris and Carter Hudson will return to play the roles of the drug dealer Franklin Saint and CIA operative Teddy McDonald. Amin Joseph, Emily Rios and Sergio Peris-Mencheta are all confirmed to return and resume their roles as Jerome Saint, Lucia Villanueva and Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata.
‘Snowfall’ follows the tale of the crack epidemic in the 1980s and 1990s. It begins in 1983 in the city of Los Angeles, where Franklin Saint started to deal with crack cocaine with his Uncle. CIA operative Teddy McDonald finds out that his fellow office Logan Miller dealt with drugs in order to get fund foreign insurgents. McDonald decides to carry on with the cartel in order to let the funds rolling. The two join hands in Season 2, solidifying both their futures.
Storyline: Snowfall Season 3
The last we saw of the crew, Franklin wanted to turn his life around. After serving in the drug cartel for long enough, he wanted to change the direction of his life and As higher CIA authorities turn to cut fund from Teddy’s operation, he was scrambling to keep his mission afloat. In the final scene of season 3, episode 10, we see Franklin making a deal with teddy McDonald in order to ensure the protection for his people as well as his own future. He plans to tell Teddy the information of all the people who dealt with drugs in LA, in exchange for his and his family’s protection and him keeping at the top in the drag game.
In the end, he wants to escape once McDonald has earned enough money to fund his operations. The series ends with Franklin extending his hand for Teddy to shake and the screen going blank before we see whether Teddy accepted the offer or not.
