CARNIVAL ROW: Release Date of Season 2
The first season of Carnival Row was premiered on August 30, 2019, on Amazon Prime Video. The season consisted of eight episodes with each episode having a runtime between 50-67 minutes. The viewers were enthralled by the shows because of their diverse tropes as well as for their intricate plot that entailed a lot of mythology.
Carnival Row was renewed for its second season by Amazon before even the release of the first season and was officially announced in July 2019. The production for the season commenced in November of that year. The makers had also planned out to extensively film for the season in various other locations besides using the studio house in the Czech Republic.
Sadly, just like the rest of the world, the shooting for the second season of Carnival Row was halted in March 2020 owing to the coronavirus global pandemic. Besides that, creator Travis Beacham had also departed from the series back in October 2019 due to certain creative differences. Another complication arose for the series when showrunner Marc Guggenheim announced his departure and is currently occupied with other projects. Marc is replaced by Erik Oleson as the executive producer and new showrunner.
But soon enough the shooting for the season resumed and with only a few weeks’ worths of shooting remaining post-COVID, the team successfully wrapped up for the second season the last August in the Czech Republic.
Now since the production of Carnival Row has already been completed but there are no official announcements regarding the specific broadcast date. Regardless, if things go as planned for the makers then the season is likely to drop sometime later this year.
