The untitled upcoming sequel of box office superhit Knives Out, colloquially titled Knives Out 2 has begun its production. The movie follows the investigation of a murder mystery by famous detective Benoit Blanc, starred by Daniel Craig. The upcoming mystery movie is directed and written by oscar-nominated director Rian Johnson.

The much-anticipated sequel movie has begun its production in the Mediterranean region of Greece. The director of Knives Out 2 Rian Johnson took his official Twitter account to share an update on the upcoming movie. Rian Johnson, who has also written the plotline of the upcoming sequel shared a picture from the sunny coast of Greece.

He wrote with excitement, ” Aaaaaaaand WE’RE OFF! Day one of filming on the next Benoit Blanc mystery.” Further, he also joked by thanking the “lovely patient” spirits from the country’s side, who are allowing them to shoot a murder on their “peaceful beaches”. The plot and characters of the upcoming new sequel to superhit Knives Out have been kept under wraps. However, Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the beloved character Detective Benoit Blanc in the next sequel. On Tuesday, the original main lead of the murder mystery movie, Daniel Craig was spotted along with the new cast member Kate Hudson. Both of the cast members of the upcoming Knives Out 2 were spotted in the island of Greece, Mykonos.

Daniel Craig, who is 53 years old was spotted in Khakhi pants and a peach-colored full-sleeved shirt. He also wore a blue-colored scarf around his neck. While Kate was all topped in the beachy sunny mood! She wore a maroon-colored floor lengthed dress. Further, she also wore a wide-brimmed hat, which added more to her “vacay sunny beachy” look. It seemed that both the stars have already started shooting for Knives Out 2. Moreover, the director has already shared with fans that they have started shooting for the upcoming movies.

Kate Hudson,42 took Instagram to post the picture of her along with Kathryn Hayn, the other cast member of the upcoming “Knives Out 2”. Both Kathryn Hayn and Kate Hudson have already worked with each other in the super hit How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Kate captioned the picture “Reunited baby yeah!!!”, which features her along with Hayn. And Hudson’s partner, Danny Fujikawa, and Hayn’s husband Ethan Sandler.

The success of the original 2019’s hit Knives Out gave a green signal to its sequel. The first movie from the installment was a super hit at the box office, which grossed a collective of $311.5 million worldwide. Since the budget of the movie was a mere $40 million, it turned out to be a super-hit. Hence, the producers and creators gave a nod to another enthralling murder mystery investigation story.
