Pedro Pascal Returning With The Mandalorian Season 3: Expected Plot, Release Date and Cast – Everything To Know

Star Wars’ spinoff The Mandalorian which is streaming on Disney+ right now has officially been renewed for a third season. The Mandalorian first premiered in 2019. The series is set five years after the Galactic Empire falls and the events that took place in Return of Jedi. The spinoff follows the story of Din Djarin who follows criminals and fugitives for compensation or reward who wanders about in the outer spaces of the galaxy. The imperial forces hire him to acquire Baby Yoda, also known as child Grogu, but Din Djarin changes his plans and instead does everything in his power to save Baby Yoda. They are then pursued by Moff Gideon whose motives are to capture Grogu and make use of his connections to the Force.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Expected Release:

Fans became skeptical when The Book Of Bobba Fett was announced during the ending credits of The Mandalorian that this new show will be taking the place of the third installment we have been waiting for. However, executive producer and showrunner Jon Favreau that the Bobba Fett show will not run along with The Mandalorian season 3. The third season will start production after the Bobba Fett show. So it is clear now that our holiday treat coming in December is actually a new spin-off. But, what does this mean for The Mandalorian’s third season’s release date? It can be predicted that season 3 will arrive in early 2022.

According to a Variety interview with Jon Favreau, it is confirmed that season 3 is on schedule. Some publications are also reporting that production has now secretly begun. Whatever happens, we can take a huge sigh of relief now that we know that season 3 is confirmed and it will be coming out a bit late, but not as late as was expected.

Who will be cast in the third season of The Mandalorian?

It is confirmed that we will see Pedro Pascal return for his role of the bounty hunter Din Djarin. Other actors who might come back include Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan, Rosario Dawson, who plays Ahsoka Tano, Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga, and Mercedes Varnado, who plays Koska Reeves. One actor who is not returning for sure is Gina Carano. She was asked to leave the show when she posted some severely offensive and controversial content on social media. She has also been dropped from her agency, the UTA. There have also been speculations about Mark Hamill reprising the role of Luke Skywalker.

What can be the plot of season 3?

In the ending of season 2, we saw Din Djarin successfully saving Baby Yoda from Moff Gideon with some help from Luke Skywalker. Baby Yoda has now been successfully encouraged to join his Jedi training. We see an emotional moment between the two when Din Djarin takes off his helmet to bid Baby Yoda goodbye. We’re anxious to see what lies ahead for Baby Yoda in the future now. We also came to know that Din Djarin is now is possession of the Darksaber. Because Bo-Katan wants it, it would be interesting to know how she comes after him.

What also remains uncertain is the possibility of Din Djarin continuing his way of life or helping to liberate Mandalore.
