Marvel fans, you have another reason to rejoice now. It seems like the Marvel Cinematic Universe has no plans of stopping its production any time soon and the expansion just keeps on continuing. At least that is what’s apparent from the latest news. After a brief break in 2020 due to the pandemic, Marvel treats are back for fans and in full action and they are going to be edgier than ever. This is not coming from us, this coming from Cassie’s creepy bunny whose photo was tweeted by director Peyton Reed.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantamania begins filming
“He’s so ugly, I love him. Can I go show my friends?” was Cassie’s adorable reaction when her Dad Scott Lang (Ant-man) brought her the creepy bunny. You must be wondering- why do we keep bringing up that hideous bunny again and again? While it may have been an insignificant stuffed animal in the previous two movies, the threequel possibly has a plot that is deeply connected to the ugly toy. The photo director Peyton Reed tweeted which marked the announcement of the movie was of this bunny. Additionally, and probably more importantly, we see a biohazard can right behind the bunny. He captioned the photo “It begins. Day One- Principal Photography”.

Who can be seen in the cast?
Obviously, we will see Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprising their roles of the iconic duo Ant-Man (or Scott Lang) and the Wasp (or Hope Van Dyne) respectively. We will also see Michael Pfeiffer come back to play Jane Van Dyne and Michael Douglas playing his role of Hank Pym.
Scott Lang’s daughter Cassandra or Cassie’s role however will not reprise Abby Ryder Fortson who was seen in the first two Ant-Man and the Wasp movies. Neither will we see Emma Fuhrman play Scott’s adorable daughter who took on the role in Avengers: Endgame. After the big snap, we see time pass by 5 years. If our calculations are correct, Cassie will be a teenager in the third installment of the franchise. To portray teenage Cassie, makers have hired Kathryn Newton who is the newest addition to the Marvel family. Someone who is DEFINITELY not coming back is rapper T.I. who plays the character, Dave. T.I. has faced multiple allegations of sexual abuse which resulted in him getting fired by the filmmakers.
Who’s the big bad villain?
In Loki’s season finale, we saw Kang The Conqueror being introduced to the MCU. This brings forward a major possibility that Kang is now the central Avengers villain after Thanos.
What’s before the movie?
Marvel has a line-up of several other movies to come out before Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantamania including Spiderman: No Way Home, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Eternals, all three coming out this year in December, September, and November respectively.
We know that the movie is coming out sometime in February of 2023. A lot of other details have been kept tight-knight but there has been news that Rick and Morty’s writer Jeff Loveness will be writing the script of the movie.
