Latest news reports have shared that Bob Odenkirk is now hospitalized after collapsing on the sets of “Better Call Saul”. “Better Call Saul” is a spinoff and prequel to the wildly popular show “Breaking Bad”. In both of these shows, Bob Odenkirk plays a major character and the lead character respectively.
What exactly happened?
A source from the official production team told TMZ that during the shooting of “Better Call Saul” in New Mexico, Bob Odenkirk suddenly collapsed and went down. All of the members of the crew immediately went over to see what happened and an ambulance was called right away. The ambulance took Bob Odenkirk to a hospital in Los Angeles. Currently, he is receiving special medical care and treatment in the hospital. The cause of his collapse is not revealed yet.
“Better Call Saul” is currently filming its sixth and final season of 13 episodes. It is set to come out in early 2022 on the cable network AMC. The first season came out on February 8, 2015. Other than AMC, you can watch all the seasons of both “Better Call Saul” and “Breaking Bad” on Netflix.
A lot of famous celebrities shared their concerns and wished for Bob Odenkirk’s speedy recovery. Odenkirk’s Better Call Saul co-star and This is Spinal Tap actor Michael McKean posted online “Sending huge love for our Bob Odenkirk. You got this, brother.” Actor and author John Hodgman shared “I love Bob Odenkirk and hope he’s doing as OK as possible”. Further, Lord of The Rings star Elijah Wood also shared his support for Bob Odenkirk. He tweeted “Oh man, really hope Bob Odenkirk is ok”.

Like we mentioned, “Better Call Saul” is actually a spin-off and prequel to the show “Breaking Bad”. It made Bob Odenkirk a household name in the first place. In “Better Call Saul”, we see the transformation of the crooked lawyer Saul Goodman from the crime drama Breaking Bad. From an ex-con artist to becoming a small-time attorney who faces a lot of tragedies, we see Jimmy McGill finally transforming into his alter ego Saul Goodman who is an immoral criminal lawyer.
Additionally, Bob Odenkirk has earned himself four Emmy nominations in the category Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for playing Saul Goodman on “Better Call Saul”.
