It seems like the journalism career of our protagonist Eddie Brock or Venom is a crucial dimension in the shaping up of the story of the movies. Let’s put it simply. Mr. Brock is really struggling to come to terms with the fact of being Venom and all of these sudden changes in his body and his life. Unsurprisingly, the repercussions of this new chapter of his life are reflected in his career too.
Venom: Let There be Carnage is set a year after the events of the first movie take place. Eddie Brock tries to make an attempt to reignite his career in investigative journalism. To do this, he interviews a serial killer Cletus Kasady and surprise, surprise Mr. Kasady is the villain.
Cletus Kasady, a lot like Eddie Brock, becomes the host of an alien symbiote. But, his symbiote is of a different type and is called Carnage, hence the title. With this newfound identity and the abilities that come with it, he successfully escapes prison after a failed execution.
