The Seattle Storm Player, Breanna Stewart, and fiance, Marta Xargay Casademont announced their newborn daughter Ruby on August 9, and here’s everything you need to know.
Breanna has made it into the headlines quite consistently for the past couple of months. She has won so many titles in such a little time with her brilliant performance. She has managed to secure the gold medal for the USA in Tokyo Olympics, the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup MVP, and FIBA’s Olympics MVP.
Now, she has also earned the title of a mother. Recently, the basketball champion entered motherhood with her fiancee, Marta Xargay Casademont. They greeted their newborn daughter Ruby on August 9th. The “sports couple” had this kid with the help of a surrogate. They made the revelation on their social media accounts and fans are very happy for them.
Stewart’s Views On Motherhood
Stewart said that being a mother is the best thing that has happened to her this year. She said that this was the best thing about 2021 and that this was the best moment of her life. The 26-year-old looks forward to every challenge and every happy moment that comes along with the responsibility of being a mother. Xargay and Stewart’s Relationship So Far
The Professional basketball duo announced that they were getting engaged in May. It was later followed by their wedding in July. They chose to open up about their relationship and their wish of raising a family together through a documentary film by “Bleacher Report and Togethxr” on Youtube.

In the documentary Stewart talked about how using a surrogate mother was quite a different process from the traditional way of having a baby. It was cool for them to explore other options and they were happy to give it a shot.
Stewart said that after she had won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, she flew home on August 8th, a day after her Olympic game, to witness the birth of their daughter, Ruby. She then went back to Phoenix to be present for the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Final scheduled on 12th August.

Stewart’s performance was key to team USA’s victory over China at the Tokyo Olympics which helped them secure the gold medal. They managed to hold their titles of being undefeated by winning their seventh consecutive gold. She also led her team, The Seattle Storm to victory in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup
The Seattle Storm is facing off against the New York Liberty on August 18. Though they began with a loss with Chicago Sky, they are hopefully looking for a comeback in the next games.
