Indeed, the series was renewed for a fourth season on December 12, 2019, just after a week the final episode of the third season premiered. The original network of the series is Amazon prime videos.
There have been no updates or announcements on the date of the premiere of the fourth season. However, the production of season 4 is going on. The pandemic delayed the production of the series. So the premiere is delayed. The filming started in January 2020 but due to a pandemic, it was stopped now it is going on from June 2021. Therefore it is expected that season 4 will be released in the year 2022. The fans have to wait to hear the final date though.

Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam Maisel, Marin Hinkle as Rose Weissman, Alex Borstein as Susie Meyerson, Michael Zegen as Joel Maisel, Tony Shalhoub as Abe Weissman, Kevin Pollak as Moishe Maisel, Jane Lynch as Sophie Lennon, and Caroline Aaron as Shirley Maisel are the main characters of the series.
Indeed, new characters are added to the series. Kelly Bishop and Milo Ventimiglia will be joining the cast for the new season, but their roles and character are not revealed yet. Additionally, director John Waters has also been seen on the sets but there have been no revelations if he is the cast and has a role in The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel Season 4.
The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 Plot
The series is set in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The plot revolves around young Miriam Midge who is an upper-class Jewish housewife living with her husband, Joel in Manhattan. Joel leaves her wife for her secretary. The story continues how taken up-back midge copes with her sadness and tries to move on. And on her journey, she is becoming a wonderful comedian.

In the second season, midges mom shifts to Paris. Midge wents to a telethon where she meets a famous singer, Shy Baldwin who is impressed with her skills, offers her a job. Midge immediately takes the job offer as being the opening act on his six-month tour. And Baldwin proposed to Midge despite knowing that Midge is still legally married to Joel.
And in the third season, circumstantially Midge was fired by Shy Baldwin. They were left off at the airport and SHy and his manager went to Europe.

The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 is expected to continue the story from where it was left on in the third season. Midge has just taken a new apartment on the basis of her collateral with Shy Baldwin but now as she doesn’t have the job, it will be hard for Midge to have financial stability.
