One day, you meet a God and he becomes your friend. Sounds interesting, yeah… the storyline of the anime Noragami describes the exact plot where a God becomes an associate of a human. The Anime Noragami is an action-based drama. The anime is adapted from the manga series of the same name. The manga series is illustrated by two female artists who go by a collective pseudo name Adachitoka. The manga was first published back in 2011 by Kodansha. Just after the release. The manga became widely popular in Japan, leading it to be adapted into anime back in 2014. The first season was entitled ‘Noragami’ and was animated by Studio BONES. This studio is widely known for its other works like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and My Hero Academia. This season consists of 12 episodes. As the first season garnered a lot of popularity from all over the world, the studio released the second installment in 2015 that was entitled ‘Noragami: Aragato.’ The second season consists of 13 episodes. Now the fans are waiting eagerly for Noragami Season 3 to release.

Before jumping into the discussions of Noragami Season 3, Let’s have a quick look at what we have seen in the previous season. The story on Noragami revolves around Yato, a God who lost his place and now trying to gather up his followers. He responds to his followers and does their errand works at a cost of 5 yen. One day he meets with a girl Hiyori. Hiyori has a problem. Her soul leaves her body frequently. Yato promises Hiyori that he will help her with this problem and they develop a bonding. We see afterward that he makes a bond with a lost spirit named Yukine. He makes a bond with Yatogami and acts as a weapon in his hand.
Are We Going To See Noragami Season 3?
Now, in this article, we are not going to focus on the release date of the Noragami Season 3. We are going to discuss the possibilities of the third installment and what are we going to see in it.
We know that the production for a new season depends on how much of the source material is left for adaptation. In the case of this anime, there is plenty of stuff left to adapt. The Adachitoka has released 24 volumes so far. The last volume of the manga was released on 15th October of last year. Any data hasn’t been fixed for the next volume but the manga readers know that there will be more.
The first season adapted the first 4 volumes of the manga and the second season adapted from volumes 5 to 9. So… naturally, Noragami Season 3 will start from volume 10.
Anticipated Plot for Noragami Season 3
Coming to the plot of Noragami Season 3, we will be seeing more about the dark past of Yatogami as the God of Calamity. As we have seen Bishamon appearing in the previous season, some new deities will make their debut. As the third installment is not the end, the problem of Hiyori will not be solved and we will be seeing her for the foreseeable future.
