Prey is an upcoming American science fiction and action-horror film, the fifth installment of The Predator franchise, and a prequel to the first four films. Dan Trachtenberg directs the film. The Prey basically follows the story of a predator called Naru. The film is basically set in Comanche Nation 300 years ago during 1719. Naru is a skilled female warrior, who fights to protect her tribe against one of the highly evolved predators with a technologically advanced arsenal who have landed on the Earth in order to destroy their livelihood. This prequel like the older franchises has so far received and generated positive reviews among fans and critics as well. The older franchises of the film have been widely popular among fans and we are therefore super sure that this prequel will definitely generate a greater buzz among fans.

The plot of the upcoming science fiction and action film goes with a predator who is known as Naru, who is a great and fierce hunter and has also been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains and when danger threatens her camp she decides to protect her people. And in a way, she encounters one of the highly evolved predators with an advanced technological background who have basically landed on the Earth to destroy and Naru in a way tries to fight that alien in order to save her people and the Earth.
Is the film going to be a reboot or prequel of the Predator series?
Well, since the basic plot of the film is actually like all other previous predator franchises therefore we can say that the film is a continuation of the predator series. It’s therefore not a reboot film since most of the concept of the film is similar to all the previous predator films. Reboot basically happens when the story is completely changed and the plot and the storyline are somewhat different but in this case, the upcoming prey film follows the same basic concept and plot as the other previous predator franchise.
