A recent buzz that is circulating around the world of anime is whether the Japanese anime “Shimoneta” is going to continue with its season 2 or not?. What’s Shimoneta all about?
Shimoneta is a Japanese light novel series that is written and illustrated by Hirotaka Akagi and Eito Shimotsuki. The television adaptation of the anime series aired from July to September 2015. The television adaptation is basically set in the future in 2030 where things are quite different. The Japanese government at the center is very much conservative in nature, thereby punishing those who violate human rights. Crime is also spreading like wildfire in Japan, immoral activities, use of abusive language, and much more are being spread by criminals there. Due to this, the Japanese government is on a mission to wash down these criminals and punish them for their nasty deeds. Apart from that the citizens of Japan also have to bear the burden, they are made to wear a device called ‘Peace Maker’ which records all of their actions and the words spoken by them. The body language and the hand gestures are also been recorded on the device, due to which the people of the country have to be very careful in terms of what they are speaking and doing because a bad action can lead them to end in prison.
The story, therefore, goes on with the life of Tanukichi Okuma, a new student at Public Morals School of Japan which is known as the best school providing quality education in Japan. And in this way, Tanukichi’s main motive is to reunite with his crush Anna Nishikinomiya. And in all of this Tanukichi becomes a victim and is forced to join a gang. He is Kidnapped and forced to join SOX, a terrorist organization, headed by Blue Snow. She is basically a criminal and is also under the police radar. Tanukichi fails to escape from the organization and is therefore forced to create and spread pornographic material across the city as a form of protest against the regulations imposed by the Japanese government in the country.
Shimoneta Season 2 Release date: Is it canceled or will it get renewed?
According to official sources, nothing has been confirmed and clarified so far by the official team members of the anime series regarding Shimoneta Season 2. Given the popularity that season 1 of the anime received, we can have a little possibility that season 2 of the series is going to get renewed. However, no official announcements have been made by the makers or the producers of the series. Season 1 of the series arrived in July 2015 to September 2015 and since then no dates and nothing has been confirmed by the makers regarding season 2 of the series, which has therefore raised questions among fans about the renewal of Shimoneta Season 2 or whether will it get canceled?
