Fans’ Favourite 1993 film “Hocus Pocus” is going to be back with its sequel which is going to arrive on screens in the upcoming months and with this, we are very much sure that the sequel “Hocus Pocus 2” will be filled with excitement and thrill and is also going to raise the expectations very much higher from the older 1993 Hocus Pocus film which was greatly loved by fans.

Hocus Pocus 2 is an upcoming American fantasy comedy horror film that is also the sequel to the 1993 Hocus Pocus film. The plot of 1993 Hocus Pocus follows in the year 1693, about three sisters Winifred, Mary, and Sarah who were basically executed for practicing witchcraft. And 300 years later, teenage Max Dennison who is a newcomer to Salem, struggles to adjust after growing up in California and decides to basically light the candle in order to show off to his irritating young sister Dani and his wannabe girlfriend Alison. Max’s efforts to impress a girl basically lead him to break the curse thereby bringing Sarah, Mary, and Winifred Sanderson back from the dead. And from there, the witches are determined to pursue the children so as to perform these spells before sunrise, or else they will be forever gone. And in this regard, Max and Alsion work together so to survive the evil trio and their magical spell. And in this regard, Hocus Pocus 2 will follow the story of twenty-nine years later after the events of 1993 Hocus Pocus where now three high school students must work together in order to stop the Sanderson sisters who have returned to present-day Salem. The older version of Hocus Pocus, 1993 has received greater and well-accepted reviews from the fans and the critics as well.
Hocus Pocus 2 release date: When will it arrive on screens?
According to official sources, the American comedy horror film will be arriving on screens on September 30, 2022, on Disney+. Earlier it was also confirmed in Disney’s presentation in May 2022 that the sequel will be landing on September 30, 2022. Filming of the series also started in Rhode Island on October 18, 2021, and was wrapped in late January 2022. As we know that the previous 1993 Hocus Pocus film was a blockbuster on screens, due to which fans are having a greater expectation with Hocus Pocus 2 that this film is also going to be another banger on screens.

The Hocus Pocus 2 trailer first debuted on June 28, 2022, where we can see Becca and Izzy lightning a Black Flame Candle and also unleashing the Sanderson sisters for another night of chaos. The witches also arrive with a new style of fashion stating a quote “Salem, we are back”!. And through this trailer, we can explore the extent of excitement and thrill that the series is going to bring with it after the 1993 Hocus Pocus film.
The Expected Plot of the upcoming sequel
With the official announcement of Hocus Pocus 2 which is going to be the sequel of the 1993 film announced in May 2021, the makers at that time also released the plot details of what can be expected from the sequel. According to sources, the sequel might witness three young women who will accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and in this regard, they must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from creating a new kind of chaos in the world.
The plot lines go back to the book that was released in July 2018, which basically centered on Max and Allison’s daughter Poppy, her friend Travis and a girl called Isabella on which Poppy has a crush, and in order to impress Isabella, Poppy basically sneaks into Sanderson’s house during a blood moon and accidentally brings one of the sisters back to life. However, it’s unclear whether this plot would be followed in the story or not?. But therefore, whatever the plot is we can surely say that the 1993 Hocus Pocus film has set a benchmark which basically proves the possibility that the sequel will have an interesting and greater plot that will excite and create a new level of eagerness among fans.
