In the quest for survival in a parallel world, two friends are bound to play a deadly game but the question is whether they ever be able to come back. You guessed it right, we are talking about Alice in Borderland, and in this article, we shall discuss, Alice in Borderland Season 2.

Alice in Borderland is an adaptation of the manga series of the same name, written by Haro Aso. It is a Japanese sci-fi thriller that keeps its viewers gripped to their seats. Released in December 2020, the drama sets soaring expectations in the genre of thriller.

The series has been directed by Shinsuke Sato and stars Tao Tsuchiya and Kento Yamazaki as two friends who play their way out in order to survive. Nearly a gap of 2 years the makers have announced the renewal of Alice in Borderland Season 2 which elated their fans with joy.

When will Season 2 hit the screens?

After making the fans wait for 2 long years, the officials have finally announced the release date of Alice in Borderland Season 2. At Tudum, Netflix has announced that season 2 will premiere on December 22, 2022, making their fan’s Christmas even merrier.

The production for Alice in Borderland was into action last year or so, and on March 2022, the OTT platform Netflix apparently posted a clip of the cast members asking about their thoughts and experience upon finishing the filming of Alice in Borderland Season-2.

The cast members of the second season will have some of the central players that were there in Alice in Borderland Season-1 together with a few new players. The ones that will be appearing for Alice in Borderland Season-2 include Kento Yamazaki as Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as Usagi, Nijiro Murakami as Chishiya, and Akaya Miyoshi as Ann whereas Aya Asahina makes a comeback to play the role of Kuina.

Season 2 will also feature Riisa Naka portraying the role of Mira and Sho Aoyagi will be seen portraying the role of Aguni.

Is Alice in Borderland Season 2 Trailer released?

This year only at Tudum, Netflix dropped a super teaser trailer for Alice in Borderland Season 2. The trailer kicks off with a few scenes from the last season of Alice in Borderland, including the very first game Arisu and his allies played for their survival. The viewers are then shown a montage of the characters who were there in Alice in Borderland Season 1. 

The teaser trailer finally raises a question that we all have been intrigued about which is will the players be able to return to the normal world if they survive and clear all the rounds?

What to expect from the upcoming season 2?

The show has been a great thriller for the audience and kept them hooked to the story till the very end. Season 1 has been a hit which eventually heightens our hopes for Alice in borderland season 2 as well. The plot for its second installment is expected to be the same as that of the source material i.e., Japanese manga series. Sadly, we will not be able to witness our favorite characters, Chote and Karube, as they were not able to survive the sadistic game. The same storyline will be held in continuation in order to give a better direction to the series. Some old characters along with a few fresh faces will play the deadly game for their survival.

Alice in Borderland season 2 has been filmed and everything has been wrapped up, the only wait is for December 22, 2022, when the fans will finally be able to see their favorite drama on screen.

Alice in Borderland is a thriller drama that centers on players, predominantly Arusi and his allies who have been placed into a parallel Tokyo where the population has mysteriously vanished. They are then forced to play a deadly game that decides their fate whether they will survive or die. 

They are faced with the wrath of competition in this sadistic game where they need to earn visas that will help them from being executed. The series unfolds their journey of survival which becomes even more difficult with the passage of time. One can watch this enthralling drama on Netflix.
