What is the Record of Ragnarok series all about?

The manga series follows the story of every 1000 years when the Gods’ Council gathers to decide humanity’s fate. The gods have grown tired of humans and after 7 million years, they have decided to extinguish them. On the last day, when judgment is made, a valkyrie named Brunhilde steps in and asks the gods to let humans prove their worth in the battle of Ragnarok, a tournament where both humans and gods face each other one on one. There are thirteen fighters on each side, and the first group to reach seven victories wins. To also even the odds, each human is also assisted by a valkyrie who transforms into a powerful weapon.
Is Record of Ragnarok renewed for another season?
According to official sources, Record of Ragnarok Season 2 is confirmed, which is so far good news for the fans. On August 18, 2021, it was announced that Record of Ragnarok Season 2 would be returning to the screens.
With the announcement of the renewal, director Masao Okubo also stated:
“Season 2 is going to be a fierce battle in the heavenly realm between Hanzoku, born out of pre-existing relationships and conflicts!”
This has so far excited fans very much who were eagerly waiting for Record of Ragnarok Season 2.
Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Expected Release Date
As per reports, last week Warner Bros Japan revealed that Record of Ragnarok would be returning for the second season which would be premiering in 2023.
Also, on 2nd July, Netflix officially confirmed in a new trailer of the second season of the series as part of the 2022 Anime Expo event that the streaming platform would be showcasing Record of Ragnarok Season 2 in 2023.
Since the makers have not revealed anything regarding the exact release date of Season 2, therefore we can very much say that the second season would be coming in 2023. The first season of the series was released on the Netflix platform in June 2021.
The series is exclusively available on Netflix and fans can enjoy it whenever the second season of the series is coming on Netflix.
Record of Ragnarok Season 2: Expected Plot
As we know, the plot of Record of Ragnarok is very much interesting and filled with twists and turns. Since we know that Humans and Gods are fighting, with deities on a mission to extinguish humans.
As we saw in the first season, it contained a total of three fights. Thor face-off against Lu Bu and ultimately defeated him, with this, the gods scored another victory in the battle between Zeus and Adam and humanity also scored its first victory when Kojiro Sasaki, a famous Japanese swordsman beat out Poseiden.
However, since the makers have not released the plot details of the second season of the series, we can expect Record of Ragnarok Season 2 to follow the events that the first season of the series followed, the second season will feature Jack the Ripper, the infamous serial killer, as well as Raiden Tameemon, a highly-rated Japanese sumo wrestler, and none other than Buddha himself on the human side.
