The series was acquired by Micro Magazine which published the first light novel volume in 2014 and the series later on also received several manga adaptations and an anime television series adaptation by Eight-Bit.
The anime series follows the story of a regular corporate worker named Satoru Mikami who lives in Tokyo and is stuck with his normal mundane life and job, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unfamiliar world. As he sets out to enter this new goofy world, he also acquires newfound skills that change his new world forever. As he sets out on a journey as a monster, he deals with unexpected situations that go on in his life.
As he becomes a slime monster with unique powers and abilities, he also gathers allies to build his notions of monsters while experiencing greater situations in another universe in which he has come as a slime monster.
Will Slime Season 3 happen?
Well, according to official sources, it is not officially confirmed whether Slime Season 3 series will be renewed or not. However, we know that the new episodes of “That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime” came out on July 6, 2021, and finally aired on September 21, 2021, but it is not the third season of the anime series as predicted by loads of fans. It was instead the second part of Season 2. But so far now the anime series is still not renewed for season 3.
As per sources, Eight Bight might renew Slime Season 3 because now that we know that season 2 has finally concluded.
