Germany Kent inspires the world with hope by advocating for compassion, volunteerism, kindness, and optimism. She believes that humanity can transform negative emotions into determination and compassion for others. Her warm-heartedness and human values have made her an international inspiration and a beacon of hope to millions.

Kent has a well-recognized record of humanitarian relief in times of crisis and a long history of local and international engagement at the intersection of human rights issues and humanitarian needs.

Amid the historic Los Angeles wildfires, she is carrying on this legacy and stepping forward to provide aid and support in the face of the devastation in Southern California to help families recover from the Eaton and Palisades fires.

Since the wildfires broke out, Kent has been lending a hand in assisting with recovery efforts providing humanitarian aid, and mental health initiatives, and assisting with long-term disaster recovery plans for fire victims.

Kent says she jumped into action. “I’ve been collaborating with community leaders to ensure immediate and long-term recovery for impacted victims. We have been distributing essential items such as hygiene kits, clothing, gift cards, and more.”

It is hardly enough, Kent says. “The impact caused by the wildfire destruction has created so many unexpected challenges that could have a lingering impact for years.”

Kent added, “I honor those who have lost their lives during this tragic time in our city’s history. I also want to acknowledge those brave firefighters who are putting their lives in imminent danger trying to keep us safe.”

She has also been a voice of inspiration and hope emphasizing compassion to those impacted by the wildfire crisis.

“I’m grateful to participate in faith-based community support spreading hope to wildfire victims. I’ve stood alongside volunteers from Rev. Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse praying over victims. The organization is doing a phenomenal job assisting families devastated by the disaster,” Kent said.

Kent says long-term efforts such as Franklin and Billy Graham’s charities will be needed and appreciated in the local community.

She says she and other volunteers have been trying to comfort those dealing with the enormous loss in the aftermath of the wildfires.

“We’re just trying to boost the spirits of the loved ones of survivors, surviving victims, first responders, relief workers, and everybody in these impacted communities,” Kent said.

She also praised the American Red Cross for their response in leading the way with wildfire recovery efforts.

“I love the American Red Cross and will always be an ambassador for them,” Kent said. “Red Cross reigns supreme in delivering life-sustaining and life-saving assistance. I’m so grateful to them.”

She has a special heart for the American Red Cross after surviving four deadly hurricanes in Orlando. According to Kent, the organization was an essential help for disaster relief following the natural disaster.

“I will never forget how they jumped into action to help those of us in need,” Kent said. “They do an exemplary job of preparing families, helping with critical needs in emergencies, and helping to repair and rebuild afterward.”

“I’ve witnessed their rapid and remarkable response first-hand as a hurricane victim in Central Florida and now what they are doing in the aftermath of the SoCal fire disaster and it is just remarkable.”

“I’m so incredibly sorry that this has happened, but I am so very grateful for the alliance of charities and community support where people have rallied together to help others, even strangers, in such a time as this,” Kent said.

“Many people in our region have been hit with a life-altering blow that has now become their new reality. Just imagine the unfathomable loss. Imagine that they have lost their houses, places they know, schools, churches, stores, banks, whole communities, just gone,” Kent said.

“It will be a long road to recovery,” she said. “Some people lost their pets, vehicles, family heirlooms, memorabilia, and generations of wealth. This is a difficult time.”

“I’ve been offering support related to the well-being of families through mental health initiatives collaborating with support programs addressing mental health concerns related to the widespread devastation, and getting positive feedback from residents,” Kent said.

She aims to continue making an impact in the lives of others. She believes in inspiring others to have hope during trauma by emphasizing the importance of self-care, giving back, and controlling our mind, body, and spirit.

“One of the most unforgettable things I’ve witnessed during this time is people who have lost everything showing up to provide help in every way possible to help other victims. The bravery and humility in their actions is astonishing to me,” Kent said.

Kent encourages others to give back by highlighting achievements that inspire others to build a legacy in their communities through collaboration. She believes anyone can make a difference, regardless of their financial status, and advocates for giving resources to charity and volunteering in the community.

Kent’s famous mantra is, “If you’re not reaching back to help anyone then you’re not building a legacy.”
