“The L is very unique to me, that’s what my acting coach always pursues and always reminds me of,” he continued.

Apart from sound production, character development is another challenge for Luna. To deepen the character, this Denpasar-born woman was asked to imagine.

She was asked to portray the character of Suzzanna while mapping out what kind of expression and voice she felt fit the character of Suzzanna.

“Because in the previous film, the character was a bit different, really, really different, so this is something new. So I’m really having a hard time, because this isn’t a biography about Suzzanna’s mother, right? So we imagine that if she’s still there, she’ll be in another movie. , so what kind of acting,” said Luna.

How Luna Maya Gets into the Role of Suzzanna

For this reason, said Luna, she had seen many films cast by Suzzanna. From there, according to Luna, at least she got some input on how Suzzanna should be played.

Luna learned how when Suzzanna was acting angry, sad, and mischievous.

“So we’re trying to find pieces for pieces where the emotions fit like this, because what we want to pursue is the way he speaks like the one in the film,” said Luna.

Previously, Luna played the cast of Suzzanna in the film Suzzanna: Breathing in a Grave. The film received around 3.3 million viewers. This 39-year-old woman hopes that the film Suzzanna: Malam Jumat Kliwon can make big profits.

“But in the end, hopefully it will be entertaining, hopefully it can be nostalgic. We don’t want to be fighting over who is more like who is cooler, but we are here, we want to make a film so that our longing can be cured with the film Suzzanna,” said Luna.

The film Suzzanna: Malam Jumat Kliwon was directed by Guntur Soeharjanto and produced by Sunil Soraya. Apart from Luna, this film stars Sally Marcellina, Achmad Megantara, Opie Kumis, Adi Bing Slamet, Tio Pakusadewo, Taskya Namya, Achmad Megantara, Clift Sangra, and Ence Bagus.

This film is planned to be shown in all Indonesian cinemas starting August 3, 2023.
